The other thing, is they want to have both exchange domains on 1 DC. Part of me thinks theres going to be conflicts in AD since everyones User object was created and named the same when they were separate, mwells is mwells on both domains, jdoe is jdoe in both domains (not jdoe in one and johndoe in the other is what I mean). I am trying to wrap my head around how this would be accomplished. Well there are some issues, and the owner has decided he wants to get rid of this second implementation site for bring all the mailboxes over into the domain, but still keep the separate email addresses, and have the ability to choose to send from one or the other, like 2 separate accounts in Outlook and kill the other setup. So there are two AD's but the same user accounts in both so mwells, bgates, jdoe etc etc for every person in the company having an and Everyone has both accounts loaded in their outlook clients, and when making a new email can choose which to "send from"

So we have a separate domain with a trust setup across the street with SBS and exchange setup servicing very basically only for email purposes. My company then decided we want to make cat food as well, but appear as a separate company. This is the main business and site, exchange 2010 on Server 2008 r2. Everyone in the company has an email address. I am having a hard time finding our exact situation in an interwebs search, so i'm putting it to you all to ask you help in wrapping my head around this concept.īackground: I work for a company purely for example, that makes dog food.
